Day 1: Begin of Tour Denpasar (Bali) - Desa Pemuteran (L)
Nearly 1/3 of Bali is Covered by RainforestMeet your personal guide in the lobby of your hotel in the morning. Start today's program with a short drive to the legendary Tanah Lot temple. The famous temple is situated right off the west coast of Bali. Continue on your way to the Bali Barat National Park. The park was established in 1983 and covers an area of 775km2 in the north-western tip of Bali. It comprises several habitats from tropical rain forests to coral gardens. It is best known for the endemic Bali Starling (or Bali Mynah, Leucopsar rothschildi). The trekking tour in the afternoon will take 2 - 2,5 hours. Overnight at Pemuteran village.
Day 2: Desa Pemuteran - Tamblingan Camp (B/L/D)
BougainvilleaStart out to a day trip to Menjangan island in the morning. The island is also part of the Bali Barat National Park. The boat ride from Labuhan Lalang jetty to Menjangan will take approximately 20 minutes. You can spend your time at the white sandy beach or snorkel along the coral gardens and steep walls (snorkel equipment included, diving optional). Return to Bali after lunch (lunch box) and drive to central Bali. Hike to the small water fall near Munduk. Move on to Lake Tamblingan and set up camp for the night.
Day 3: Tamblingan Camp (B/L/D)
Danau TambinganSpend today in the region near the lakes Buyan and Tamblingan. Start with a trekking tour near the plantations in Munduk in the morning. The afternoon starts with a jungle hike at the southern shore of lake Tamblingan along the slopes of the volcanoes Tapak (1,909m) and Lesung (1,862m). The volcanoes and lakes are part of the Bratan caldera.
Day 4: Tamblingan Camp - Kintamani (B/L/D)
Batur PanoramaBreakfast at camp site. Continue the round trip with a visit to Danau Bratan. The lake is best known for the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan temple. In Pacung you will start a cycling tour to Mengwi. The tour through small villages, rice paddies and plantations will take 3 hours. Continue to Kintamani after lunch. The village is situated at the crater rim of the Batur volcano. Overnight at camp.
Day 5: Kintamani - Ubud - End of Tour Denpasar (Bali) (B/L)
Rice terrace BaliStart for the sunrise tour to Mount Batur very early in the morning. At 03:00 AM a professional trekking guide will accompany along the footpath up and down the steep slopes of the volcano. Each way will tale approximately 3 hours. Sunrise will likely be at 06:00 AM. See the morning light touch the Balinese landscape from the top of Mt. Batur (depending on weather conditions). After a short break with snacks and hot drinks return to the starting point. Go for another cycling tour. Follow the route downhill from Penelokan to Ubud. See small village life and tradtional houses with pavilions and temples on the way. Arrival in Ubud 3 hours later for lunch. This round trip ends at your hotel in South Bali or at the airport.
