The Dani people live isolated in the highlands of West Papua (Irian Jaya), the most eastern and also the lagests province of Indonesia. Their culture and traditions remained unspoiled until the Baliem Valley was discovered in 1938. Today visitors can visit the small settlements and learn more about the Dani society and belief.
