Day 1: Begin of Tour Denpasar (Bali) - Kuta (D)
Meet you personal guide upon arrival at the Ngurah Rai Airport of Bali. Transfer to your hotel in Kuta. The rest of the day is free at your leisure. Stay at the hotel or take a walk at the beach. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. Overnight in Kuta.
Day 2: Kuta - Belimbing (B/L)
Rice Farmer taking a BreakCheck-out of your hotel after breakfast. Meet your guide in the lobby and start your Bali round trip. Visit the famous Tanah Lot tempel just off the west coast near Tabanan. The Pura was build on a small rock. During low tide you can walk to the rock to see the sea snakes at the base but it is not allowed to enter the sanctuary. Short drive to Pura Taman Ayun in Mengwi. The tempel is known for the buitiful gardens surrounding the complex. Continue your way to the heartland of Bali and learn more about traditional rice cultivation. The beautiful rice paddies of Bali are well known all over the world. You will also see a balinese homestead with several bales, a family temple and surrounded by a wall. Check-in at the hotel late in the afternoon. Overnight in Belimbing.
Day 3: Belimbing - Lovina (B/L)
Golden BuddhaStart on a soft trekking tour in the morning. The tour will take approximately 2hrs. Walk through the spice and fuit plantations near the resort. Return to the resort for check-out. Continue the round trip with a visit of the Buddhist monastery "Vihara Dharma Giri" in Pupuan. Short drive to Munduk and walk to the local water fall. A narrow trail leads to the shallow pool in the valley. Lunch at a restaurant in the highlands. On the way to the north coast pass by the twin lakes Danau Tamblingan and Buyan. Arrival in Lovina beach in the afternoon.
Day 4: Lovina - Ubud (B/D)
Batur Volcano on BaliBreakfast at the hotel. Drive along the coastal road to Sangsit and visit the Temple Pura Beji. The temple was build by the local subak and is dedicated to the rice goddess Dewi Sri. A scenic drive through the Balinese highlands takes you to Kintamani at the crater rim of Gunung Batur. Enjoy the view during lunch. The next highlight is the temple Pura Besakih on the slopes of Gunung Agung volcano. The sanctuary consists of 23 seperate but related temples. You enter the area through a massive split gateway. The original structures date back 2,000 years and resemble megalitic stepped pyramids. After climbing the different terraces continue your way to Ubud. The villages Celuk and Mas are known for delicate silver and gold works. Check-in at your hotel. Free time until the evening. See a dance perfomance of the entertaining kecak dance.
Day 5: Ubud - Senggigi (B/L)
Lumbung (rice barn) LombokCheck-out after breakfast and transfer to Bali airport. Short flight to Lombok. After meeting your local guide start the drive to the north coast via Sendang Bayur. Stroll over the traditional market where you could buy some peanuts or bananas to feed the monkeys at Pusuk. Next is the visit of an traditional sasak village to see the characteristic lumbung buildings. The simple structures with thatched roofs are used for rice storage. Masjid Kuno Bayan Beleq is the oldest mosque of Lombok. The sasak of Bayan follow the Waktu Telu religion. A syncretic mix of Islam, Animism and Hinduism. The Sendang Gile waterfall is not far from the village. Take a short walk to see the falls amidst the green forest. Lunch en route. Travel along the north coast until you reach Senggigi Beach.
Day 6: Senggigi - Gili Nanggu - Senggigi (B/L)
Sunset at Bali BeachThe second day of your Lombok adventure starts with a visit to Sesela village. Go on a morning walk throughrice paddies and spice plantations. Move on from Sesela to the South West of Lombok. In Lembar you will board a small boat to Gili Nanggu. The small island is known for s beautiful white sandy beach. Relax at the beach, go for a swim of snorkel at the reefs right off the shore. Return to Senggigi Beach in the afternoon.
Day 7: Senggigi - Kuta (B)
Weaver LombokBefore you return to Bali you start today's programm with a visit to Taman Narmada in Lembuak. The palace was build in 1727 by Raja Anak Agung Ngurah Karang Asem. Its name derives from the Narmadanadi river, a tributary of the Ganges in India. The summer palace mirrors the Rinjani volcano with terraced gardens and many refreshing pools. Move on to Banyumulek. The village is an important center of traditional pottery. Visit Batujai village on your way to Praya. The local women established the Stagen cooperation and produce double ikat fabrics with traditional techniques. Watch how they manufacture colorful scarfs and sarongs. The trip ends at the Lombok airport. After returning to Bali transfer to Hotel in Kuta. Overnight in Kuta.
Day 8: Kuta - End of Tour Denpasar (Bali) (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. The day is free at your leisure until airport transfer.
