Day 1: Begin of Tour Denpasar (Bali) - Tampaksiring - Penelokan (L/D)
Tirta Empul FountainsEarly morning pick up and driving through the beautiful landscape of the centre of Bali to the Garuda Village. Only there the woodcarvers produce the famous Garuda statue and you will get a chance to watch the woodcarvers during their work. Not far away from the Garuda-Village is the place named Petulu. There you can see and have unique chance to make pictures of a lot of Heron Birds. The trip will be continued to Tampaksiring where you visit the temple Pura Tirta Empul. This is one of the temples which have pools of very clean spring water. Until now there are holy rituals of washing and cleaning the body. Sick people from the whole island come here to take a bath in this holy water (Panjoran). Next to this temple the ex-summer-residence of the 1. President of Indonesia, Mr. Soekarno is placed. You will continue your trip along rice terraces to the border of the Volcano Mt. Batur. There you will have a really beautiful panorama view of the volcano Gunung Lebah, the volcano lake and of the crater. Your lunch will be served at the Indonesian restaurant with the beautiful view. Check-in at hotel near crater rim.
Day 2: Penelokan - Batur - Ubud (B/L)
Landscape Batur CalderaOn this morning you really have to wake up early. Around 3am you will start to climb up to the top of the volcano Mt. Batur. A professional trekking guide and assistant will accompany you on the way up and down. Around 6am you will see then a unique and very beautiful sunrise from the top of Mt. Batur. (Depending on the weather condition) On the way you also will get snacks and drinks. After this amazing experience you will have breakfast and will visit the hot springs where you can relax from the activities in the morning at the thermal water. After the lunch you will go on boat trip on the Batur Lake to Trunyan that is one of the two aboriginal villages on Bali and is placed on the other side of the lake. The indigenous people of Bali “Bali Aga” have at Trunyan a special tradition for dead bodies which not get cremated like normal in Bali; the people put the bodies to the tree "Tarum Menyan". The most interesting thing is that there is no smell from the dead bodies in the air. After this visit the boat goes back to Penelokan and you have to say good bye to the volcano Mt. Batur. In the afternoon you will have a transfer from Kintamani to Ubud and check-in at your hotel.
Day 3: Ubud - Munduk (B/L)
Farmer working the fieldAfter breakfast at your hotel you will have a short drive to the traditional market in Ubud, where especially in the morning a lot of activities are going on. Your guide will show and explain to you about all kind of exotic spices, fruits and much more. After this unique experience you will come to the start point of your 1,5h trekking tour (Soft Trekking) along the paddy fields and landscape of hills around Ubud. During the soft trekking your guide will introduce the Balinese tropical vegetation to you. Afterwards, to refill your energy and to refresh, you will get an original Balinese coffee, backed bananas and the typical Balinese cake at the Balinese Warung. After the trekking tour you will visit the Goa Gajah - Elephant Cave, a really interesting temple which were used long time ago by the Brahman priests und Ascetics for meditation. After the lunch you will continue your trip to the highlands. Check in at hotel in Munduk.
Day 4: Munduk - Mengwi - End of Tour Denpasar (Bali) (B/L)
Ulun Danu TempleAfter the breakfast you will go to the area of 3 lakes (Lake Batur, Buyan and Tamblingan) which you can find next to the magical mountain area of Bedugul. From there the 1,5h trekking tour will be started around the lake Tamblingan. From there on you will reach Bedugul and Lake Bratan which is actually a volcano crater full of water. Directly on the bank of the lake you will visit the famous water temple Pura Ulun Danu. The trip will be continued to the most famous orchid market over the island “Pasar Candi Kuning”. There you can buy all kind of local spices and flower seeds for home. Lunch will be on the route. In the afternoon you will visit the state temple of the king dynasty Gelgel “Pura Taman Ayun” which is situated at the idyllic village Mengwi. At the end of your trip you will visit the next highlight of today, the sea temple Tanah Lot which is placed on the rock ca. 200m outside in the sea. During the sunset you will enjoy a wonderful moment with a great view of the temple. After sunset transfer to your hotel in South Bali.
