Day 1: Begin of Tour Lahad Datu (Sabah) - Tabin (L/D)
Verditer flycatcherUpon arrival at Lahad Datu airport meeting service and transfer to Tabin Wildlife Reserve. Arrive in Tabin 1 hrs later. Check-in at the Lodge. The lodge has 20 Bungalows, all equipped with private bathrooms (warm and cold water) and ceiling fan. Enjoy the view of Lipad river from the balcony. Lunch at the lodge. Explore the surroundings of the lodge and search for some of the animals of the reserve. Return to the lodge for dinner. Many different animals can be seen after nightfall. Overnight at Tabin.
Day 2: Tabin (B/L/D)
Lipad WaterfallBreakfast at the lodge. Start the program with a with a drive on the search for wildlife and walk to the Lipad waterfall. Return to the lodge for lunch. You will leave for your overnight trip to the mud volcano in the afternoon. The hike trough the rainforest will take approximately 20 minutes until you reach the clearing. The spot is known to be often frequented by deer, wild boars, elephants and birds. Their footprints can be seen in the mud. The guide will set up camp at the foot of the obsrvation platform were you will spend the night. Keep in mind to stay quiet to increase your chance to see the animals. They might visit the volcano during dusk and dawn.
Day 3: Tabin (B/L/D)
Clouded LeopardReturn to the lodge after a simple breakfast. Spend the morning searching for more wildlife or relax at the lodge. Lunch at the restaurant. Different animal species can be seen during the day, at dusk or at night. Dinner and overnight at the loge.
Day 4: Tabin - End of Tour Lahad Datu (Sabah) (B/L)
Macaque, BorneoBreakfast at the lodge. Go for a walk to the riverside or to the rock pool in the morning. Meet an otter family or the group of macaques near the pool. Find your own adventure. Depart for airport after lunch.
