Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Begin of Tour Miri (Sarawak) - Niah National Park (L/D)

Meet your personal guide in the lobby and start on your tour to Niah National Park. After registration at the Park Headquarters check-in at the Lodge. After lunch cross the Niah river and follow the park trails. Resturn to the Lodge in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the park.

Day 2: Niah National Park - End of Tour Miri (Sarawak) (B/L)

After breakfast visit Niah Museum (closed on mondays). Continue along the plank walk to the Noah Caves. It takes approximately 1 hour to reach the caves. You will explore Trader's Cave, the Great Cave and Painted Cave. THe latter may be the most exciting site. The walls are decorated with paintings of boats, birds and people. Remains of wooden boats can be found on the cave ground. It is presumed these boats were part of a burial ritual of the cave dwellers. Return to the park cafetaria for a late lunch after 4.5hrs. Start on your way back to Miri afterwards.
